The 720p C310 comes with Logitech’s RightLight 2 auto-light correction technology so you’ll always be shown in the best possible lighting regardless of environment, and packs a 5MP camera.
The image and video quality are excellent, the backlight compensation is very good, and the background removal tools have plenty of applications beyond streaming. They have the same hardware and sensor, so because of that, the color shift difference on your screen between those two is almost undetectable. The Logitech HD Webcam C310 is the best blend of budget and quality you can get if you're not looking to splurge on something with more features. While it's definitely best suited for streamers, the C922 at its current price is an extremely good value. It's an excellent camera at a reasonable price. This webcam made it close to the top of our list of best webcams for Windows PCs, and for good reason. However, if you're broadcasting your gameplay in 60 FPS, being able to match your webcam is a blessing and since you're likely just in a small window anyway, the resolution drop isn't an issue. The C922 allows for 60 FPS video, albeit only at 720p resolution. The Logitech Capture app is also available for the C920, but for streamers the C922 still just about has the edge. While a dedicated green screen is still better, the C922 has companion software that will allow you to remove your background or replace it entirely, simulating the effects of using a green screen. Where the C922 edges ahead is its suitability for folks like streamers. You get 30 FPS video at 1080p, which for any kind of video conferencing will be plenty. While it may offer slightly less in terms of outright image quality, the price difference makes up for that. If it's simply for video calls or you just want to spend as little as possible, the C920 will serve you well. It comes down to what your primary objective for your webcam is. Whatever you need to use either webcam with, there are no compatibility issues with Windows applications. On a hardware level, they're very much alike, offering 1080p video, stereo microphones, and a plug and play approach to Windows. Both of these webcams are very similar, which can make it difficult to choose between them.
